This Photoshop action set helps to achieve that gritty look known from Dave Hill's works. There are several options which use different algorithms and have different effects. Of course, it's not possible to make photos look like made by Dave Hill just by using these actions. You need to use proper lighting, smooth out some parts of the image and even paint over it!
In general, these actions increase micro-contrast, making images look sharper. Since this effect is not always achieved by using 'Unsharp Mask' there are no visible halos and outlines in resulting picture.
To use the scripts You need to extract them from archive and then put them in 'Your Photoshop directory / Presets / Scripts' folder . They will be available for use under 'Filters' menu.
Actions just need to be unzipped and then drag-n-dropped to 'Actions'-Palette. Then just select an action and run it!
